  14. Master Converter is a powerful Microsoft Windows utility that can quickly
  15. and easily convert to and from 399 different units in 22 categories.  The
  16. categories include: length, area, volume, dry volume, time, speed, mass,
  17. density, force, pressure, energy, power, flow, dynamic viscosity, kinematic
  18. viscosity, temperature, conductivity, thermal conductivity, angle, light,
  19. numbers, and fractions.

  21. Master Converter is distributed as a shareware software product.  This gives
  22. you the ability to try out the program before you pay for it, thus allowing
  23. you to see if it fits your specific needs.  If you find the program useful,
  24. you are asked to register the product.  Registering Master Converter gets you
  25. a registration "code" that removes the opening wait screen on this and ALL
  26. FUTURE VERSIONS of Master Converter.  Once you register, there is no need to
  27. register again!  (Please see the online help file for the registration form
  28. and for pricing information.)

  30. Master Converter works with Windows 3.x, Windows 95, and Windows NT.  For
  31. Windows 95 and Windows NT users, there is a 32-bit version of Master
  32. Converter available.

  35. HOW TO INSTALL
  36. --------------
  37. To install, simply run the SETUP.EXE (or SETUP32.EXE if you have the 32-bit
  38. version of Master Converter) program from within Windows.  The setup program
  39. will install all necessary files to a directory of your choice, and then
  40. create icons for you.

  42. If you later decide that Master Converter does not fit your needs, you may
  43. uninstall the program by double-clicking on the "Uninstall Master Converter"
  44. icon that was created when you installed Master Converter.

  47. HOW TO USE
  48. ----------
  49. Double-click on the Master Converter icon to start the program.  Converting
  50. units in Master Converter couldn't be simpler.  First, choose the CATEGORY of
  51. units that you're converting by clicking on the appropriate index tab on the
  52. bottom of the screen.  For example, length, area, or volume.  PLEASE NOTE that
  53. not all of the categories may be visible on the screen simultaneously. Because
  54. of this, small scroll buttons will appear on the index tab, allowing you to
  55. scroll the index tab left or right.

  57. Next, choose the unit that you're converting FROM, and then the unit you're
  58. converting TO.  For example, if you're converting from kilometers to miles,
  59. select "kilometer" in the left list box, and "mile" in the right list box.

  61. Lastly, type the value you're converting into the text box on the left.  For
  62. example, type "3.5" if you are converting 3.5 kilometers to miles.  The result
  63. will appear in the text box on the right.  That's it!  Master Converter
  64. shows that 3.5 kilometers is equal to 2.174799173 miles.
